I've always prefered D'Adarrio's myself. More recently I've been favoring GHS,
but feel they sound just about the same as D'Ads.
BTW - I received a sample pack of new Nanowebs from FQMS in the mail. It was a
guitar set, but I did the 1st and 2nd strings switcharoo and put them on one of
my resos, I actually put them on the Leadbetter. I leave that one in a stand so
it is nearby any time I want to grab as reso. I figured that the coated strings
would be a good idea, and last longer for the uncased guit.
Anyway - my thoughts on these strings - less bar noise for sure. But they are
slick - too slight for my taste. It's like being on ice if you know what I mean.
They also sound a little too thuddy for my tastes. I could see how them might
fell pretty good for a regular guitar though. I shoulda put them on my Martin.
