How'd y'all make out, and how can I (we even, cause there was considerable

Thanks for asking. The short answer is that things seemed to go pretty well.
That is, there were about as many people in the pews at the end as when we began
so presumably not too many of them left in disgust. My spouse, a usually frank
critic in these matters, reported that the sound was well balanced between the
two instruments and that it sounded appropriately 'mellow' as she put it. There
were a couple of questions at the end of the service that I had to field such as
"what was that thing you were playing?" I did take a couple of pictures and put
them up on the band's website in case anyone would be interested in the
architecture of the church. The URL is

http://ourworld.cs.com/shafrankok/id30.htm?f=fs

for the photos. There were two services. I played at the earlier one and the
second one featured french horn and violin. To my disappointment the second one
was taped but not the first. I spoke with Dick the music director about that and
he told me that he'd be taking this week off but next week we could record it if
I felt like doing so. I'll probably do that because I'd like to hear the
combination from a different vantage point than what it was from the position of
playing.
