Hipshot (www.hipshotproducts.com) has a roller bridge that they recommend to
be
used with the Trilogy, so I have them on my 8-string National Model D, and one
of my 6-string model D guitars that both have Hipshot Trilogy tailpieces. As you
might expect from Hipshot, they are well-thought-out and well-crafted. Dave
Borisoff is a third generation machinist and a dobro and pedal steel player. He
also plays that instrument that Kathy Barwick took apart and Brad Bechtel
enlightened us as to the reason.
