This is just an untried thought, from someone uneducated in guitar
building, but has anyone tried woodwind oil? It is intended to be
swabbed through the bores of instruments such as clarinets, which are
also made of wood. The intended result is to limit moisture absorption,
which can be severe, considering that one blows through it, and prevent
cracking from excess drying.
I have no idea what it is made of....
