Norman Blake has been one of my most fav artists over the years.
I first heard him back when I discovered that OTHER god I worship, Doc Watson,
only, I was already behind about 10 years in '71 or so.
Dang if I wasn't about that far behind first time I heard St. Mike, too. Funny .
. . . .
I got to see him a few times in the early 70's in some various forms with bands
I no longer remember he was sittin in with out here left coast . . . and later,
once, with Nancy on cello . . . . . THAT was special. Great American Music Hall.
Mid 80's?
I have very little of his music on vinyl, none elsewhere, but, he crops up on
almost any decent album of the 60's/70/80/s . . .
N he played a bit of reso in his day, didn't he . . . <smile> Thanks to Mr.
Blake . . . .
