If you play the old Oswald style, if you dont tune your "B' strings a little
flat
yer gonna drive away your audience. The high "B" and the low "B" are not
tuned the same amount flat though. One way is to use harmonics to get
there, but the way I do it is, I believe the same as Mike A. I use my bar (at
most
any fret) so that strings 1&2 together sound correct, 2&4, 3&5 and last,
the sixth string. If any of these combinations do not sound right, I slant my
bar a little clockwise, and then contrary clockerwise, (Gunsmoke fans should
pick up on that one) until it sounds right . That way, I know which way to tune
to get the sound I am looking for. Hope that makes sense the way I explained it.
