Tuning is very important. Whenever I'm in a jam and encounter a piece of music
that baffles me, something that's way beyond my ability even to comprehend, let
alone play, I turn partly away from the circle and pretend to be having trouble
with my tuning. If you're a good actor, you can stall until the tune's over.
