First, a philosophical question. I noticed at band rehearsal last night
that the fretted people were on one side of the room, and the unfretted
people were on the other. If I'd had a dobro with me which side would I
belong to?
Spiders appear to be used without polishing, other than the bottoms of the
feet where they contact the cone. Does polishing the entire spider change
the sound in any way?
Why don't coverplates have more holes (more open area)?
Have any materials other than aluminum been used in cones?
