Hugh,
I normally use standard reso strings (16-56) and or medium acoustic strings
(13-56) on my Weissenborn copy without any problems. I have even used the J
Pearse G tuning strings (16-59) on it, though the 6th string sounded a
little too thumpy being that big. I usually tune it to DADF#AD.
I'd love to see pictures of your Weiss. What woods did you use? How long did
it take you to build it?
