Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L] Strings and Fast-Fret

I too have used Fast Fret for many years. It's saved me a fortune in
strings. Nothing is as aggravating as a rough spot on an unwound string
against a steel bar. Fast Fret cleans that gunk off and seems to keep the
strings alive for longer. I generally use it after every session so when I
return to the instrument, I don't find that nasty oxides have settled in
overnight. I sweat like a pig, so normal human beings may not require that
frequency of application. FWIW, I recommended it to a guitar player 20 some
years ago and he's been using it without harmful effect on a number of nice
old guitars, so I was surprised to hear about FF causing fretboard problems.
