Are you refering to the screen holes, or the holes in the soundwell? I have
experimented a lot with blocking the holes in the soundwell.
If you are in the mood, try blocking the holes with posterboard, or something
like that which is a little heavier than tissues. I used to use double faced
tape to temporarily stick it in place sometimes.
You may be surprised at the results you can get by blocking the holes in the
part of the well nearest the screen holes. Try blocking all of them except
ONE, and vary which one is left open and see what happens. It is very
interesting.
I did a lot of this with an OMI and I found that blocking the "front" ( that
is what I call the part nearest the screens ) gave more volume and better tone
all around. I *really* liked the treble once this was done.
Try it... you might like it.
