I was fortunate to be born with perfect pitch. Years ago I was the worst
stickler on earth for being in tune. In the middle of a song I'd take an
instrument from another player and tune it correctly. I don't know for sure
whether it was age, Lyme, or both, but I got knocked off of my high horse
and now I struggle like everyone else to be in tune. I really miss being a
hair splitter.
