Larry,
not sure if the coverplate adds anything to the tone of the guitar by possibly
adding some resonance of its own to the mix. But if so, then different type
metals would also resonate differently due to their density and such. Is the
purpose of the coverplate merely to cover the sound well and cone assembly, or
does it resonate as well? I am new to resonators, so I am merely guessing, please
excuse me if I am mistaken.
