Steve Kaufman's Kamp is located very near where I live, and
I have known Steve most of my life. I was asked to do the
Kamp several times, but could not because of booking
conflicts.
I have however, performed at the kamp both with Wildfire and
with J.D Crowe.
I would have to say that I was very impressed with what
Steve and Donna (and other volunteers) do there at the Kamp.
Steve always does things first rate, and always continues to
raise the bar with everything he does. For anyone who has
ever been to The palace Theater in Maryville, TN, thats
another thing that Steve has taken form the ground up. Not
only did a ground up restoration, but also a successful
concert series there.
His instructors are always top notch at the Kamp, and the
location is only about 1-2 miles from the airport. The Kamp
is also located just a few miles from The Great Smoky
Mountains National Park.
My advice would be that if you have never been to an event
that Steve has organized, you should go. You can expect only
the best!!
