Here's the background on the favor I'm asking:
I used to live in Boston. Now I live in Singapore. I
have business next week in Arizona and am spending a
day or so with my best friend in Tucson, who happens to
have a solo gig next Saturday night. He's asked if
I'll sit in with him for part of the gig, which I'm
happy to do on guitar and vocals, but will sound a lot
better on some songs if I'm playing the kind of
guitar that sits on my lap. I'm traveling with my picks and bar; anybody know
how I can scare up a dobro (or resonator guitar, or whatever you want to call it)
for a night?
