We had a great evening in Dover NJ October 8, 2005.
Thanks to Mike Esposito and all who worked so hard to make sure we had a
great evening.
Once again we saw the enthusiasm for the acoustic / resophonic version of
the instrument.
The range from acoustic to lap steel to pedal steel showed the variety and
depth of this instrument concept.
Mike Esposito, Dave Giegrich and Gene Wilson represented the resophonic
version very well.
The Moonlighters with a Square neck tri cone were a thrill.
In addition there was a luau and lots of jamming.
Thanks for a great afternoon and evening.
We pay tribute to the Dopyero's for their contribution but it's good to
recognize Joseph Kekuku, who is buried in Dover NJ for starting this whole
phenomena.
His gravesite was found in Dover and Mike is working to collect enough money
to give him a new headstone.
During the evening Dick Blattenberger asked if we knew how Betty Hickman
survived the hurricane.
He was very concerned about her and was hoping to hear from her.
I told him that someone on the Resoguit line would know and I told him I
would ask since Dick said he did not have a computer.
Dick has been a big supporter of the Resophonic guitar and by the way a big
collector. It was good to see him again.
