Mike Auldridge is one of the foremost proponents of the laminate reso
and, as the proud owner of a beautifully sweet sounding Guernsey
(grandpa to the MAS), I thank him for this. Having played 3 of the
MAS guitars I have to admit that he may have even topped his and
Ivan's masterful work. I would agree with the better speaker cabinet
comment - makes for a real balanced guitar from treble to bass. The
Mike Auldridge Signature is my next guitar. $0.02 - Dave
P.S. Ivan tells a funny story about how Mike instructed him how he
wanted his guitar built. Ivan picks out all this beautifully figured
birch lam and when he's getting close to finishing time Mike calls
and tells him he wants him to paint it black. Ivan almost cried.
