Hi Mike,
don't own a reso yet,;but I am strongly considering the Jim Adams reso's. I may
either buy the Basic Birch laminated, or if I can come up with the extra cash
possibly the model you have; birch laminate and solid spruce top. How do you like
it quality and sound wise? Seems like a great deal to me, since it is hand made
in the good ole USA and very reasonably priced. The other reso I am considering,
is the Goldtone, Paul Beard mahogony (laminated) model. It comes highly
recommended from most everyone on this list; but is asian made; though setup in
the USA by Paul Beard's shop, with of course the Paul Beard spider bridge and
cone.
I really like the fact that Jim Adams' reso's can be chosen in a few different
stains and come with the Paul Beard spider bridge and cone. Heard a sound clip of
the Basic Birch model; sounded pretty dam good to me. Also spoke with Jim; great
guy! So please tell us all about the details of your JA-bro; as I am sure like
me, there are quite a few other people whom would like to know the Pros & Cons about it.
Congratulations on the new Dobro!
Mark
