I agree of course, but the problem may be that when you
hit your "Reply" button, the e-mail pops up BLANK, you type
in your reply, and send it. Simple enough. However, when it is
received, *that* is when it has all those other things added on.
That is the way mine works, so I open a NEW e-mail, add the
address ( resoguit-l@elistas.com ) Add the subject line, then
copy and paste the few lines I want to reply to into the body of
the e-mail.
I think perhaps some of the "worst offenders" are just hitting
"Reply" without realizing what happens.
You can't delete what you never get to see, so outsmart the
system, guys.
The least you can do is to HIGHLIGHT the lines you wish to reply
to, THEN hit "Reply."
