Okay Poob (and I trimmed my e-mail)--here's a reso question:

If projection or volume is desired, why not coat the inside back--maybe the inside of the side wall too-- of the resonator with a good coating of instrument grade laquer or polymer?

Wouldn't that keep less of the sound absorbed inside the instrument? Would it have much effect on the resonance or tone contribution of the wood?
