there's an Irish session once a month at our local pub here. I've started going
(just to listen). Pete was there recently and I heard a wonderful sound, wouldn't
you know, it was Pete. He really cuts through the mix.

I myownself switch to guitar when I want to play Irish. However, I have been
infatuated with a Martin Hayes/Dennis Cahill live CD for some time. I couldn't
have imagined how dobro would sound right playing Irish. BUT, listening to Hayes
play the Clare style of fiddle, it's at a slow tempo, with lots of slides. Voila!
No wonder Pete's Irish stuff sounds so good. One of these days he'll let me play
some guitar with him ; >)

That is very cool, Pete, and it's great to see the pictures of you at the
Irish Steel Guitar Festival as you listen. Thanks for sharing!
