I just returned from Club Passim (continuation of the Legendary Club 47) in
Harvard Square where the Stringdusters, following their exciting
performances at Joe Val, played a couple of sets. Terrific sound and
atmosphere in this small, subterranean haunt, and the boys were really on.
These guys can play, as many of you will hear as they hit the summer
festivals. By then their album will be out. Andy Hall? Mark my word; he'll
have that IBMA dobro award on his shelf someday. So clean, so imaginative,
so tasteful, and man can he tear it up!
