Here in Baton Rouge, there is a Saturday jam you might enjoy. It's at the
Main Street Market from Noon until 2:00. This is an indoors location so rain
or shine the jam happens on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. It's
held at the North Street dining area of the Main Street Market. Parking is
free in the parking garage next to the market. You would enjoy at least
sitting and listening to the jam. Mostly bluegrass music is played.
I find that C&M Music on Florida has the best selection of resos and reso
accessories and are most knowledgeable and friendly. Mike Whitney (also on
this list) is from Baton Rouge too. He plays reso - very well I might add.
He will have a better feel of where to go for reso accessories here in Baton
Rouge. Mike has been watching this thread, maybe he will jump in and add his
thoughts.
My store carries reso strings, slides, picks, and tab. I'm very small and
unknown in the area.
