Jim, I'd ammend that to read "what works on one Reso for the owner's style of
playing might not always work on another one". It's an interesting thought that
a given set of strings might be better with a given style of playing, I guess
what I'm trying to say is to some ears, Phosphor Bronze would brighten up the
"heavier" sounding stamped cone, while the "deader" outa the package EFT
13's might serve to "dull down" the "brighter" sound of the Q cones. Dang, I'm
starting to wish I had my "bass-mid-treb" knob back. Wait, kidding
folks.......onlyyyyy kidding.......sheesh!
You still got the same phone #, Jim, if I have time tomorrow, I might just drop
in and get a quick check on your new "baby"? I'll give you a call on the way by
anyways to say hello.
