Quoting Dan Downs <dan.downs@xilinx.com>:
"Or, if west Texas in July sounds like fun, CampBluegrass.com offers one week
with Steve Williams. I live in Colorado, and Texas in July wasn't my idea, but
my wife and I will be attending this year."
=> Hey, we do have air conditioning in Texas, you know. Everything during the
day is indoors, and at night, up there on the Llano Estacado, it can get nice
and cool.
The only thing I wasn't prepared for was the dust in the air. When I got
there, I got out of my truck, walked about a half a block toward the
orinetation session, and immediately had a mouthful of dirt.
"I'm signed up for guitar, but if anyone has an opinion on the teaching
abilities of Steve Williams, I might switch over to Dobro. Anybody?"
=> He's an unknown quantity to me. I think he plays steel and some dobro for
Jimmie Dalegilmore. I gather he's replaced Tim McCasland. Maybe Billy Gilbert
knows something...
Chris Jones is teaching guitar this year. If he brought Sally with him, heck,
I'd attend just for the chance to hang around. Sally Jones is the awesomest of
the awesome. If he brings any copies of her new CD with him, do not fail to get
one.
