Well, ever since I heard about it at a workshop, I've been stealing rosin
from my wife's fiddle case. Chisel it up into a powder and just put a little
on your fingers then put the picks on. It feels like glue when the picks are
on, but it doesn't leave any mess afterwards.
I might try some bathtub tape on my bar and see what happens.
BTW, has anyone ever successfully re-surfaced a scuffed Stevens or Shubb?

For my finer picks, I use PRO-GRIP Non-Slip Grip Cream. Bowlers use it, I
hear. Works good. Never needed it on the banjo or pedal steel, but do om the
reso especailly the index finger.
