Hi Jim,
The first time I even thought of trying to play the "Flintstone's Theme" on a
reso was when someone on this list mentioned hearing it at a late night jam
session, I think it was at IBMA, and I thought, "why not?" and grabbed my little
practice reso off it's stand and gave it a try. Not too difficult in open G,
once the idea is planted in your head. Back in '79 when you heard that recording
you mentioned, I was deep in the C&W barroom scene, ugh! "The Fishin' Hole" recently discussed is
another "wow" tune for reso-guitar. I just drives home the point that you can
play about ANY thing on one of these "hubcap" thangs......
Now if I can remember to clean up the bottom of this post..... and "cheers" back
