Dick, Thank you for the favorable comments, I really enjoyed the
"Gathering" this year and was pleased to participate in a small way
to the success it seems to have had. I only hope that in the future
we will be able to get some more of the "old Time" players to attend,
ie: Speedy Krise, Danny Milhoun, Graig Wingfield, Kenny Haddock to
name a few who are located fairly close to Wilkesboro, and were
active in the music we all love during the 40's, 50's and 60's.
Having the likes of "Tut" Taylor, Russ Hooper and Pete Smith there is
a beginning but we need to get some of these other folks to attend. I
know they would love to rub elbows with the group, and the group
members would cherish the memories of being able to exchange stories
and 'licks", it would really make for a "Great" Gathering.
