It was likely intentional, but on one of Hank Thompson's recordings of "It Makes
No Difference Now," IIRC, he shifted the words one beat on the melody from the
as-written. It did sound strange.
More to the subject at hand, one of country music's all time greats was doing
one of his recitations at an open air show in New Hampshire and somehow got into
a closed loop he couldn't get out of for almost a minute. It was more
embarassing than funny, so I won't mention his name.
