This is a standard embroidery hoop, three ply wood laminate,( store thinks is
probably bass wood). measures 1/8" thick, 1/2" high by 10 3/8" outside diam (of
outside hoop) I used the outside hoop, drilled off the adjustment screw flanges & it fit inside the soundwell (after cutting off a very small amount, just enough to wedge it in tight). coated with titebond wood glue, held in place with dowels wedged in to force against the sides of the soundwell, being sure to have the hoop fit flush with the top of the soundwell. Let dry 24hrs, routed out sound hole (facing neck) to egg shape, installed new Quarterman cone with old spider & it sounds at least as good as my OMI 60DS (76 vintage) Hope this helps.
