Hi Everyone,
Commenting on this list, and the recent postings of my friend Jim Warren. This
list, "Poobah's Creation" or Poob's Child" or whatever you want to call it, is to
me, the absolute BEST thing I've ever done to forward my education about things
related to Resophonic Guitars, since I got involved with them after years of
playing Steel Guitar in too many (yuck) forgotten "clubs".
(Knife & Gun Clubs as a friend of mine calls 'em!)
I've read postings from Mike Auldridge, Phil Leadbetter, I've met Dick DeNeve
after buying "Blackie", one of Dick's guitars, (that I heard was available from
reading this list.) I've become aware of and taken courses from Jim Heffernan.
I've learned more about setting up a resophonic guitar from guys like "Dewey
Slide Well", then I'd ever figure out by myself. This list is wonderful when it
comes to sharing the knowledge of others........just great!
Hey, I even got my picture in that Tribute Album to Josh Graves, along with Jr.
Barber, that Betty Wheeler put together a couple of years back!
I just wanted to take a second to thank Poob for creating this list and to ALL
OF YOU who contribute so much to make it work.
Reso-guitars.........ROCK!
