No, Richie, I forgot who it was that gave me that little piece of advice,
but it was right after I joined the list. To be more specific, from what I
remember, the advice was to hold back a bit during the soundcheck. The
consensis at the time was that a well experienced soundman would be able to
get the mix right and adjust as needed, but less experienced engineers might
amp everything alike and have the ojnab way too loud (like that's never
happened). Obviously, if you have your own engineer, then it ain't an issue,
but I was at a festival and did a guest appearance with a small (2 person)
local band.
Yep, Blackie makes her presence known! Anything from Aragon Mills to
Panhandle Rag. I'm thinkin' of heading up to Thomas Point for at least one
day this weekend. Maybe I'll see you and Andy up there.
