Hi everyone, been a while since I posted here. I have a couple of questions:
1. My Scheerhorn is about 4 years old now, should I be thinking about
replacing the cone. It sounds fine, but of course any deterioration will
have been gradual and my expectations of what sounds should be coming out
of my guitar will have drifted in parallel as it were.....
2. How do the Beard cones compare to the Quartemain cones? London Reso
centre has Beard cones in stock so I could just go buy one rather than
order a quartermain cone from somewhere. I'm sure Paul's cones are at
least very good, why else would he make his own, but I'm more interested
in what audible difference there is between the two cones. Is the Beard
cone brighter etc etc
