Hi everyone,
If indeed as poob says, a cone might settle after 3 or 4 years of hard playing,
and the action lowers a bit, wouldn't just replacing the bridge inserts with
slightly taller ones be the way to go??? This might even work in your favor,
rather than replacing the cone?
I'm wondering if taller bridge inserts wouldn't improve the sound to begin with.
I'm wondering if a cone set deeper into the soundwell to allow for taller bridge
inserts would be beneficial?
So many possible "tweeks" with these things, I hardly leaves much time for
woodshedding does it?
In general tho, I'd agree with the "if it ain't broke, don't "fix" it approach".
Just my 2 cents and your mileage may certainly vary.
