Mr. Brown rocks the boat, once again, in rhythm with the waves, on the lonesome
prairie's
of Tayhas . . . . . . .
Nice post hoss.
So, I'm scrollin thru these posts, and wonderin:
What does Tim Scheerhorn USE for cones?
QC's? Which one's? Why?
Other's?
Resophreak wants to know . . . . lol
I put a Beard cone in my starter Johnson, after putting a QC cone in it (I
forget which
models, don't ask).
Course, I had so many other issues with nuts, bridges, luthiership, etc. while
upgrading that
Johnson that is was IMPOSSIBLE to tell which cone, the Beard, or the QC, were
better.
I still HAVE that QC cone, though. You BETCHA!
Thanks Mr. Brown, for convincin me that my early pack rat ways are THE way to
go! <grin>
To support some others who offered opinions, I don't think I'll be droppin
anything different
into my Beard Gold Tone . . . . it aint broken, other n I learnt the silver
wound strings
sucked on it . . . ;-)
Course, I get a couple of new sets of John Pierce BRONZE wounds, that I haven't
tried on the
Gold Tone yet . . I'll holler when I do . . . . I tried a set or two of the
J42's, and I prefer the
Beard set so far . . . <smile>
Bless all you square necks . . . coast to coast. <smile>
