Hi Frank and everyone,

I think the Smithsonian's handling of the Enola Gay is a disgrace! I believe
this Country's use of the A bomb to end World War II, actually saved many more
lives than it took. Just my opinion, which I have a right to, and certainly not
appropriate for this list.

Ok, the Dopyera Collection and what to do about it? What's it's actual worth?
To those of us who are so involved with resophonic instruments, it's undoubtedly
priceless. To others....it would probably be considered "wierd"? I read
someplace recently that museums have quite a time picking the "right" artifacts
to display. Then there would be the matter of where to store, or even hopefully
display, the Dopyera Collection?

If somehow the reso-community could acquire this collection, who would be
custodian of it? I'd like to see one of our Luthiers have acess, or maybe even
divide it among them?

I agree with Frank, it would be great if we could do something, and I would even
make a contribution myself as my finances would permit.

Dangit Frank Maxfield....now see what you started? And how've you been doing
anyways?

Twangs,
Richie Chiasson
