I use the shure mic, and I believe it is a beta 98a, if memory serves (which
it usually doesn't).  It's killer, but the clip is a little too large to fit
anywhere but in a soundhole.  It works killer there, though.  No feedback,
plenty of volume.  I believe they are about $200, and I swear by mine - I
use the same one on my banjo and it sounds killer on that, too.  

Actually both instruments sound like they're being played by a hack, but I'm
not sure that it's a microphone problem.
