That "Bluegrass Thing in Boston" being the Joe Val Festival. Yep, Lord willing,
I'll be there! It's my "consolation prize" from me to me...... to make up for
not going to Fla. and chasing Bluegrass around all winter in the sunny south.
Last year, Pine Hill Ramblers was booked for Joe Val! What pure fun!
Can't wait to hear what you've discovered on 8 string G 6th tuning, Bill. I
have that on "Dolly" my 1975 OMI Dobro 8 string guitar.
To me, that G 6th or any 8 string tuning for that matter, adds a whole new
dimension to a resophonic guitar. I only wish I had more time to learn more on
it. Still trying to learn more on 6 string tho....gotta creep before you can
walk I guess?
Twangs.....(six note ones)
Richie
ps...oh the Beard capo will cover the slightly wider string spacing on my 8
string, but to get it BETWEEN the strings. in order to twist
it.....aha.....that's where my troubles start.
