Quoting John Gallagher <oakdobro@pacbell.net>:
"Windows Media Player on XP has a slow down program, too. Comes with XP..."
=> Somebody want to explain how to use it? After considerable hunting, I finally
found the "Play Speed Settings" in my copy of Windows Media Player. Apparently
the default setting is "normal," corresponding to a play speed of 1.0.
I clicked on "slow" and "fast" and nothing happens. I tried clicking on the
numerical settings, 0.5, 1.4, and 2.0, and nothing happens. I tried unclicking
and reclicking the check box that says "snap slider to common speeds." I
understand the concept of snapping to a preset tempo, but unfortunately,
there's no slider -- just a horizontal bar.
The only sliders I have that work are the volume slider and the one that
determines where in the cut the data are read.
Somebody want to explain this for us stupid people?
At least while searching, I finally found the option the increase the buffer
size for webstreaming, so I guess it hasn't been a total loss.
