Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L] "loud" trees??
Date:Monday, October 2, 2006  13:31:43 (+0000)
From:reso-man <reso-man @.......net>

Hey Thomas,

Would I love to get down to IBMA one day. Hasn't happened yet tho. I have
found that my "Blackie" DeNeve will hold it's own in just about any situation.
She may not be the "fanciest" or the "purtiest", but she sure sounds great, (in
spite of her owner,) and she always manages to make herself heard. The wood
must've come from a "loud" mahogany tree or something?

I hope "Blackie" is as happy with me as I am with her!

I also have "Sadie" Sho-Bro who is wonderful for going around field picking and
"aggravating" people, and Jr. tells me he's got "Sophie" Sho-Bro, my other sq.
neck, sounding kinda almost like a Sch.......well I CAN'T WAIT to hear what he's
come up with, and done to ol "Sophie". Wowza!

Life is good, MUCH better since I started messing with these reso-guitars. I've
got a lot to learn......

Rest in peace, Josh,

Richie

I played my DeNeve at IBMA and it held up just fine with all the other fine
instruments down there. Richie, I missed you and Blackie down there, though....
