The band is Hazmat Modine.  The site has a lot of information about the 
band as well as some sound clips. 
 
As far as I can tell from the photos in the liner notes, the reso was a 
National Steel.  The album has received significant air play on the 
station, even though it's sort of hidden in the Blues section of the 
library.  The throat singers are quite popular among our volunteer 
programming staff.

It was a great show, but I can't say I liked those last two numbers. 
The last one made me think I was listening to the sound track from a 
1940's Technicolor movie with camel caravans crossing the Sahara Desert. 
 
I just went back and listened to my recording of the program's end.  I 
_guess _ there was a reso in there somewhere???  :-)
