Hi Listers,
In particular those who might be "on the fence" considering going to one of
Jimmy Heffernan's workshops. I've been to two of Jimmy's "boot camps" so far,
and I'm looking forward to going to my third one, sometime next January at fellow
lister Andy Katz's home.
Jim has something for everyone. Something for all "levels of achievement" that
you might have gotten to in learning how to actually play these reso-things, that
we all enjoy so much. For example, I've been playing steel guitar, for just
about 50 years now, (ow, huh?), and, on my own, I've developed so many "habits",
but Jimmy kindly points them out, and he's even got this ol dawg starting to
read tablature.
I don't read a note of music! I'm one of those people who "just plays", for
better or worse, but thankfully some folks kinda like what I do, and so they
listen, and so I keep playing....
Jimmy recognizes this and manages to teach me stuff anyway!
So again, to anyone who is thinking about attending one of Jim's workshops, I'd
certainly recommend it!
LET ME PUT IT THIS WAY......has anyone been to one of Jim's workshops, (and I
know you have,) so would you have anything to add to my comments?
Come on all you Southeast Texas Bluegrass Coneheads, let Jimmy improve your
"twangin".......yeehaw!!!
Y'all still say "yeeehaw" in Texas, right??
Twangs (with a Bahstan accent),
Richie
ps.....park the "cah"......oh never mind!
