The "resolution" is a treatment/process that makes the hardware
pratically impervious to body chemistry. We never produced the
"nickel", because..well, nobody wanted it. The Resolution gold and
black coverplates are available.
The other coverplates in black chrome and gold plate are also available
as is "raw" brass (which will turn green pretty quick).
The base metal in all Beard hardware is brass.
