With all the talk of the slowdown program for learning, I thought
I would chime in with a fun practice aid. www.virtualbluegrassband.com
This has about 200 songs on it with backup music only. You can change the keys
and tempo of the songs to your liking. You may have to download the
free midi player from the site as follows. (Usual disclaimers apply )
These midi arrangements were created with "Band-In-A-Box". Windows has a
built-in midi player but I
suggest that you download the free midi player from vanbasco.com. This allows
you to adjust the
tempo, which is important when you're learning a new tune.
This thing is a riot, and will entertain you for hours on end. Jim Warren
