The Skeeter Davis song is a different one, but on the Opry, Hank Snow often sang
the song Oswald played, adding a 2 chord in the chorus. One of my long time
favorites, which I used to sing myself.
It is on Disk 1 of the 5-CD Bear Family Hank Snow set, "The Thesaurus
Transcriptions."
