Subject:Re: [RESOGUIT-L] 7-string ShoBro on eBay

Been there, done that, a few times, on 7-string
guitars. Only I place the cone opening toward the
nut, so that the slot for the one-piece bridge is
offset toward the tailpiece. This effectively places
the hand and picks farther from the bridge, adding to
the mellow sound lots of people try for, without
having to move the hand as far off the hand rest
toward the nut as would otherwise be necessary.

It also places the cover plate a bit toward the nut,
widening the space between it and the end of the
guitar, which is more pleasing to my aesthetic sense.
The slot is about 1/4 inch offset from the center of
the cone (i.e. screw hole); the direction of the
offset thus can make 1/2 inch difference in the
location of the cover plate.

YMMV
