Michael Witcher has agreed to do a dobro workshop at my house.
Date: Sunday January 28
Time: 10:00 AM-1:00 PM
Place: My house in Danville, CA
Cost: $50
The workshop will precede a meeting of the newly formed San Francisco dobro
club, which will be at 2:00. That same night, Michael will be performing at the

Michael is, as most of us know, a fine musician. He is also a very capable
instructor and has given workshops all over the country.

Below is a brief bio:
Michael Witcher is a resonator guitarist who boasts a long list of
credits both as a session player and as a sideman. A native
Californian, Michael has performed with Laurie Lewis, Peter Rowan and
Tony Rice, The Witcher Brothers, Laurel Canyon Ramblers, Dolly Parton,
Benmont Tench, The Missy Raines Band, Sean and Sara Watkins (of
Nickel Creek), Jon Brion, Tyler Hilton and many others.
Growing up in Los Angeles, Michael's playing reflects the diverse
musical environment that has surrounded him. His playing offers a
strong contemporary sensibility balanced with a deep respect for
tradition.
He can be heard on a wide range of recordings including such diverse
artists as Dwight Yoakam, Fernando Ortega, Joan Osborn, and Todd
Phillips. He has also recorded for Universal Studios Tours, CMH
Records and The History Channel's "History's Mysteries." He was also
featured on the CBS Movie of the Week, "Papa's Angels."
An experienced teacher, Michael's self-produced resonator guitar
instructional book, "Resonator Guitar: Tunes, Techniques and Practice
Skills", has gained world-wide acclaim from fellow slide players and
students alike.
