Depends on how high you want to go. Friend of mine showed up at this
week's jam with a Gold Tone Weissenborn copy, sounded pretty good.
The best copy I've heard is Ken Miller's Acousteel. It's a radical
version of a Weissenborn based on Kasha design principles. In addition
to sounding good, they are beautiful.. red spruce top with koa back and
sides and something like five kinds of pearl in very tasty inlays.
