Dick, Os' did use " High Bass" A tuning which was A,C#,E,A,C#,E.
I believe he did use .018's first and second. He also used a plain third.
I tried this once on my '75 OMI when I used to tune to A, and it didn't work for
me.
Not sure what the three bass string were. I would guess around
.036, 045. 056. I don't know how the neck stood it all those years !
It is still as straight as can be. Jim
