Good tip - I had been in contact some years ago with Pete and even
played in D
for a while - playing A on the 5 would be just the thing
besides I play that pattern all the time on my electric lap in E
I think I'll give the D a go on dobro - I find it hard to sing in the
standard G tuning
I think its the way the tuning is set up 135135! - the D has that
bluesy tone as well -
as Pete regularly extolls......
